About Us

The Country Yard is owned and operated by Kerryn and Robbie Walker.

The American style craft barn is an outlet for Kerryn's creativity -- she loves quilting and folk art and she shares her knowledge and enthusiasm in regular workshops.

Kerryn and Robbie live in one of the early homesteads of the Maungatapere area, which they have restored in keeping with the original building design.

There are also many examples of rustic old farm machinery on display around the property, which Robbie has rescued and restored. 

The park-like gardens make an ideal setting for weddings and functions, and garden visits are welcome by appointment.
